In existence for over 40 years, Bruce Samlan Soccer League is the premier recreational & developmental soccer league in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.

BSSL provides an introduction of soccer for beginning players and offers continuing development of soccer techniques for experienced players. BSSL has many divisions accommodating male and female players from ages 4 to 16.   

BSSL stresses sportsmanship and enjoyment of soccer along with a focus on recreational and developmental learning.  BSSL provides the environment where young soccer players have fun while learning the sport. For these young players, our primary goal is to introduce soccer as a great way to have fun. We're trying to create life-long soccer players and fans. We do this by using a Small-Sided format in which there are fewer players on the field at a time (4v4, 5v5, 6v6, etc.) and this gives all players more opportunities to control and make decisions with the ball.  These "touches" are necessary for tactical in-game learning/decision making and physical development of every player.  

BSSL has two outdoor seasons, Spring and Fall.  Each season consists of 8 games with Spring going from April through June and Fall from August through October.  All games are played on Saturday mornings in Roscoe, Illinois.  Please click on the above tabs (About BSSL, Registration, FAQ) to learn more about BSSL or contact us.
